Lipi One Pvt. Ltd. operates the Lipi brand and the website at www.lipi.one. For the personal information covered by this policy, Lipi One Pvt. Ltd. is the data controller unless a separate contract states that we process information only on a client's instructions.

This policy applies to this website, business inquiries, recruitment communications, product demonstrations, support, voluntary language-intelligence contribution programs, and Lipi applications or integrations that link to it. It does not replace a client-specific data-processing agreement or enterprise deployment contract.

We collect information you provide, limited technical information generated when you use our website, and information received from authorized third-party integrations. The information collected depends on how you interact with Lipi.

The public Lipi website does not currently offer Facebook Login or directly operate a Meta API integration. If a Lipi app or service adds an authorized Meta integration and links to this policy, the rest of this section applies to that feature.

If you choose to connect a Meta account, use Facebook Login, authorize an Instagram or Facebook business integration, communicate through WhatsApp, or use another Lipi feature powered by a Meta API, we receive only the information permitted by Meta, requested by the integration, and authorized by you or your organization.

Depending on the feature and permissions shown in Meta's authorization flow, this may include a Meta user or business identifier, name, username, profile image, email address, Page or professional-account information, messages or content you send to the connected service, permission status, and technical authorization data. The exact categories depend on the feature you use.

We use Meta Platform Data only to authenticate you, connect the account or business asset you requested, provide and secure the integration, respond to support, and comply with law and Meta's applicable terms. We do not sell Meta Platform Data or use it for unrelated advertising, credit, employment, insurance, or other eligibility decisions.

Information may come directly from you; from your employer, colleague, or authorized representative; from a client-controlled system during a contracted engagement; from Meta or another platform when you authorize an integration; from service providers that operate our website and communications; or from lawful public business sources.

We use information to respond to requests, assess product or project fit, prepare proposals, deliver and support services, operate authorized integrations, secure our systems, maintain business records, improve website clarity and reliability, recruit team members, and comply with legal obligations.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on steps requested before a contract, performance of a contract, consent, compliance with legal obligations, and legitimate interests such as operating and securing our business, preventing misuse, and communicating with business contacts. You may withdraw consent for future processing where consent is the basis.

We do not use private business inquiries or Meta Platform Data to train general-purpose AI models unless a separate, specific notice, consent, or written agreement expressly permits that use.

LipiSense and other contribution programs may use voluntarily submitted language examples, speech, corrections, or review signals to evaluate or improve language technology. Each program must explain the intended use, contribution rights, review process, retention, and withdrawal options before collection.

We do not sell personal information. We may share the minimum information necessary with hosting, communications, form-routing, security, project-management, professional-advisory, and other service providers working for us under appropriate confidentiality or data-protection obligations.

We may also share information with a client or partner when you request or authorize it; during a genuine financing, merger, acquisition, or reorganization subject to appropriate safeguards; or when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, investigate misuse, or establish legal claims.

Lipi is based in Nepal. Some infrastructure and service providers may process information in other countries. Where required, we use contractual, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the transfer and the information involved.

We keep personal information only for the purpose for which it was collected and for legitimate security, contractual, accounting, dispute, and legal-record requirements. Retention depends on the nature of the interaction, whether a contract remains active, applicable limitation periods, and whether law requires preservation.

Disconnecting an authorized Meta integration stops future access through that authorization but does not by itself guarantee deletion of every existing Lipi record. Any user may submit a deletion request using our User Data Deletion Instructions. After a valid request, we delete or de-identify associated Meta Platform Data without undue delay unless limited retention is legally required.

We use access controls, least-privilege practices, transport encryption, environment separation, monitoring, backups, and security-aware engineering appropriate to the information and service. Authorization tokens and credentials, where used, are treated as confidential and restricted to the systems and people that need them.

No internet transmission or storage method is completely secure. Please do not send passwords, private keys, access tokens, payment-card details, government identity documents, or highly sensitive records through a general inquiry form or ordinary email unless we have agreed on a secure transfer method.

Every user may request deletion of personal information held by Lipi. Depending on your location and the context, you may also ask us to confirm whether we hold your information, provide access, correct inaccuracies, restrict or object to processing, provide a portable copy, or withdraw consent. You may complain to the data-protection or regulatory authority available in your jurisdiction.

Send a request to hello@lipi.one. We may ask for limited information to verify your identity and authority before acting. We will not ask for your Meta password or access token.

The public Lipi website does not intentionally use advertising cookies or Meta Pixel as of the date above. Essential hosting or security technologies may be used where necessary to deliver and protect the site. If we introduce analytics, advertising, or other non-essential technologies, we will update our disclosures and request consent where required before activating them.

Our corporate website and services are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child below the age at which independent consent is valid in their country. If you believe a child has provided information without appropriate authorization, contact us so we can review and delete it.

We may update this policy when our services, integrations, or legal obligations change. We will publish the revised policy here and change the “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated through the relevant service or direct notice where appropriate.
